in-factory White Paper 2008 (German language only)
in-factory – Enterprise Information Management with Swiss precision.
The in-factory solution describes the processes of synchronized data provision as services included in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). This requires system stability and reliability through Service Level Agreements (SLAs). A further consequence is the delivery of reliable and transparent information, which in-factory provides using master data life cycle management according to the principle of “don’t forget”: each piece of information related to master data and related rule or structure modifications is documented. Last but not least, we also incorporate the requisite real time element: our services also function perfectly in time-critical situations. in-factory models and implements EIM processes such as data migration, customer data integration, master data management and data quality management, which meet the requirements of all internal and external information consumers with high-quality information products of guaranteed consistency. The method is based on Total Quality Management. As a service provider, in-factory operates according to the principle of “help to self-help”. We aim not only to help customers implement EIM, but also to put them in a position whereby they are able to operate, continually optimize and expand on these processes by themselves in future. With this aim we developed a “how to get rid of your consultant” process and implemented it in the projects.
